We offer training in a wide range of technical fields, including <strong>Carpentry, Business Entrepreneurship, Welding, Electrical Installation, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Auto Electric, Tailoring &amp; Embroidering, Plumbing and Pipe Fitting,<\/strong> as well as <strong>Computer short courses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our History<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mawella VTC was founded in <strong>1993<\/strong> through the collaborative efforts of the <strong>citizens of URU South Ward<\/strong>, <strong>Father Christopher Okoth<\/strong> (then priest of Mawella Catholic Church), and <strong>Mr. Josef Luelf<\/strong>, a German donor representing the organization <em>\u201cProject Christopher\u201d<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The college began with <strong>one program \u2013 Carpentry \u2013 and 15 male students.<\/strong> Today, Mawella VTC has expanded to offer <strong>nine (9) core programs<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Electrical Installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motor Vehicle Mechanics<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Auto Electric<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welding &amp; Fabrication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Embroidering &amp; Tailoring<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carpentry<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plumbing &amp; Pipe Fitting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ICT<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food &amp; Beverage Service &amp; Sales<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, the college provides <strong>short courses<\/strong> such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Solar Energy <strong>(Umeme <\/strong><strong>Jua<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Driving <strong>(<\/strong><strong>Udereva<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer Application<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical Motorcycle <strong>(<\/strong><strong>Kuunganisha<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Pikipiki<\/strong><strong> Za Umeme)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Welding <strong>(<\/strong><strong>Kuunganisha<\/strong><strong> <\/strong><strong>Vyuma<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Electrical Installation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cookery <strong>(<\/strong><strong>Mapishi<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tailoring <strong>(<\/strong><strong>Ushonaji<\/strong><strong>)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Our Facilities &amp; Workshops<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Mawella VTC has <strong>modern workshops<\/strong> equipped to meet current market demands. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wood Workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Metal Workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Motor Mechanics Workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Plumbing Workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Domestic Electrical Installation Workshop<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Tailoring &amp; Embroidering Workshop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Our workshops not only provide <strong>hands-on training<\/strong> but also <strong>produce high-quality products<\/strong> that are sold to the community.
